Span Medicare

International Nurses’ day – Team Building Activity, 12th May 2026 Forest Park Buloba

How SPAN Medicare Celebrated the Heart of Healthcare

A Nurses’ Day team outing to remember, laughter, ziplines, and the spirit of one team. “Great healthcare isn’t just delivered — it’s built, one relationship at a time.”

On 12th May 2025; International Nurses’ Day, SPAN Medicare traded scrubs for smart casual fits and stethoscopes for paddles, ropes, and ziplines. The destination? The lush, adventure-filled grounds of Forest Park Buloba. And the mission? To honour, celebrate, and invest in the very people who make compassionate healthcare possible , our nurses!

Activities on the day

  • Pedal boat rides,  Zip lining,  Paintball,  Rope course, Swimming, Team games

From the serene man-made lake where teams navigated pedal boats together, to the thrilling zip line where even the most composed colleagues let out a scream of delight.        The day was a full-package celebration of teamwork in its purest form.                                     Paintball battles tested strategy and communication, the rope course demanded trust and cooperation, and the swimming pool offered a refreshing wind-down after a day of play.

What made this day truly special? Management showed up. Not just in spirit, but, in smart casual, right there on the grounds, laughing, competing, and cheering alongside the nurses. The Administrator’s presence was not a token gesture; it was a clear message. When leadership steps off the administrative floor and onto the same ground as its nurses, it doesn’t just build morale, it builds trust.

Every activity mirrored what we stand for. The rope course? Pure accountability; every teammate had to carry their weight. The zip line? Efficiency-commit, execute, land. Navigating the lake together? Transparency and professionalism; clear communication, no shortcuts. And yes, what happened on the paintball field? It stayed on the paintball field, that’s confidentiality.

Together, these values are not just words on a wall. They are the rhythm of how SPAN Medicare’s team breathes, both inside the wards and beyond them.

.

This outing was a foundation. As we work toward our vision of being Uganda’s leading holistic healthcare provider, we are reminded that a strong team is our most powerful tool. SPAN Medicare is committed to continuing to invest in its people: through recognition, professional development, wellness, and moments like this one. Because when our nurses thrive, our patients feel it
