Medical camp for Forgotten Children

No Child Left Behind. SPAN Brings free healthcare to Forgotten Children

Because every child deserves a doctor’s attention, not just a chance at one.

In a bold display of compassion and community commitment, SPAN Medicare recently opened its doors, and its heart for a medical camp dedicated entirely to Forgotten Children. Every service offered on the day was completely free of charge.

From thorough medical consultations and diagnostic lab tests to the issuing of medicine and much-needed dental care, children received the kind of holistic attention that is central to SPAN’s mission: to provide accessible, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare.

“This wasn’t just a one-day event, it was proof that healthcare can reach everyone when an organization truly commits to its community.”

What made the camp truly remarkable was how visibly SPAN’s core values showed up in practice. Every staff member carried themselves with professionalism, giving each child the dignity and attention they deserved. Processes were transparent and efficient, ensuring no child waited longer than necessary. Information was handled with strict confidentiality, while accountability meant that every service delivered was tracked and purposeful.

This is what it looks like to be on the path to SPAN’s vision; to be the leading holistic healthcare provider in Uganda. Leading not just in equipment or expertise, but in heart and reach, and In the willingness to go where the need is greatest.

To every team member, volunteer, and supporter who made this camp possible, thank you. And to the children who came through those doors: you were seen, you were cared for, and you matter.
