Valentine’s Day at Span Medicare. Celebrating Caregivers with Compassion
Valentine’s Day at Span Medicare was a heartfelt reminder, that love and compassion are not only shared with patients but also among the caregivers who serve every day. In a simple yet meaningful gesture, each staff member received a rose, a symbol of appreciation, unity, and gratitude for the dedication demonstrated across all departments.
This created an atmosphere of warmth within the hospital corridors, reinforcing the culture of recognition and teamwork that defines Span Medicare. Beyond the roses, the celebration reflected the hospital’s motto, Serving with Compassion, highlighting that compassionate care begins from within the workforce before it reaches the community.
As staff interacted, shared smiles, and expressed appreciation for one another, the activity embodied the organization’s mission which is to provide accessible, compassionate, and high-quality healthcare. It also aligned seamlessly with the vision of becoming the leading holistic healthcare provider in Uganda, reminding staff that holistic care includes emotional wellness and workplace belonging.
